 Kent Oil & Propane can provide you with any of your propane delivery needs. Whether it is for home heating, water heating,  cooking or clothes drying. We also provide many agricultural and industrial customers who depend on propane for their business operation. Our professional trained staff has grown to know what our customers need and expect from Kent Oil & Propane, Inc.

Keep full: For your convenience, all customers can be put on our automatic fill program. We will check your tank on a regular basis and fill it as needed. To receive this service you must have approved credit and sign up for this service. Your account is due within 30 days of the delivery date or before your next fill whichever comes first in order to remain on keep full status. If your account is not kept current you will automatically be switched to a will call customer and payment will be due upon delivery.
Will Call: You will order your propane as you need it. Delivery will be during regular working hours. It will be your responsibility to maintain your supply of propane gas. Please allow five to seven days for delivery. If you run out of Propane please read the the If you run out of gas section.
Cash on Delivery (COD): All customers must have a credit application on file in order to charge delivery. If you do not your option is to pay when delivered. You may pre-pay at the office or make arrangements to pay the driver at the time of delivery. Please keep in mind, Kent Oil & Propane will only make one attempt to deliver at agreed time and day. If the money is not available on the agreed time and day, your money must be received at the office before the next delivery will be scheduled and delivered.
Budget Program: Budget payments can be established for bulk propane customers who have been our customer for one full heating season. Our program runs from August through May. The first budget payment is due on August 15 th and on the 15 th of each month through May.
If two budget payments are missed, your account then will be returned to the regular status of "Payment due within 30 days of delivery date."
Please contact our office by the last week of July if you wish to be added to the budget program.
Pre-Buy Program: You can cap your price at a fixed cost per gallon. This has a fee and guarantees your price not to go above the pre determined amount. Both the pre-buy and cap program becomes available in June before each heating season. Payments must be paid in full within 30 days of invoice delivery date or you will be removed from the price cap option without a refund.
If you ever smell gas or suspect a leak, turn off all the gas at the tank. Open the area to fresh air. Do not do anything that could make a spark. Call us immediately!!
Letting your propane tank run out of gas creates additional hazards. If your tank runs out of gas and loses pressure in the system, a potentially hazardous condition can result. If you do run out of gas, please follow these steps:
- Turn off all control valves on all gas appliances.
- Turn off the shutoff valve on the propane tank(s). Located under the lid of your tank.
- Call your propane supplier to arrange for delivery, and advise them you are out of gas.
- Don't turn the gas back on yourself. Let your service technician do it. When you schedule your fill, be sure it is set up for a time when you will be at home, so we can relight and check your appliances and system to assure that they are operating properly and there are no leaks.
Customer or a representative me be present when tank is filled.
- Immediately after your tank is refilled, have your service technician check to see that all safety controls are functioning properly and the piping system is leak free.
Additional leak & pressure check charge $40.00 due upon arrival.
- Customer or representative must sign leak check documentation to be kept and filed at Kent Oil & Propane.
- All additional delivery fees, leak & pressure check fee and actual charge for gallons delivered are COD.

Making a Safe Fuel Even Safer.
Propane is a very safe fuel. But as with any energy source, there are steps you should take to further ensure your safety:
If you detect a gas leak, immediately evacuate everyone from the house and call your local propane provider or the fire department from a neighbor's telephone.
- Learn what propane smells like. Propane retailers have scratch-and-sniff pamphlets to help your family recognize its distinctive odor.
- Know where gas lines are located, so you won't damage them when digging or working in the yard.
- Change or clean furnace filters regularly as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Don't store cleaning fluids, oil-soaked rags, gasoline, or other flammable liquids near a gas-burning appliance where vapors could be ignited by the pilot light.

- GAS Check ® (Gas Appliance System Check) is an award-winning preventive maintenance program developed by the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) and funded by the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) that trains technicians and educates homeowners on the safe handling of propane and the maintenance of propane appliances.
The Certified Employee Training Program (CETP) developed by NPGA and funded by PERC is a training program used extensively throughout the country by people involved in the handling of propane, equipment, and appliances. |
